Covered by your plan quota
Image generation is included in your plan. Every generation request counts against your plan’s monthly image-generation allowance — the same allowance described in Graphical Asset Generation. You don’t need to configure anything to start generating images.Bring your own key (Enterprise)
Enterprise customers can bring their own AI provider keys (BYOK). When a provider key is configured, AppDNA routes generation through that key once your usage passes the threshold you set — the same behaviour that already applies to text generation. In practice:- Image generation always counts against your monthly operation counter, whether or not BYOK is in effect — BYOK is a billing escape valve, not a way to bypass the counter.
- Up to your configured threshold, requests use the AppDNA platform key.
- Past the threshold, requests use your own provider key, and your provider bills you directly for that usage.
- The image-generation threshold uses the same cross-feature counter as text generation. Text and image operations share one monthly total, so one threshold dial governs both.
BYOK is available on the Enterprise plan only. On all other plans, image
generation always uses the AppDNA platform key and is governed by your
plan’s monthly quota.
Where to configure it
Provider keys are managed in the dashboard alongside your other billing and AI settings. Once a key is verified, it applies to both text and image generation automatically — there is no separate setup for images.Related
